Pakistan will not accept any attack across its borders or any breach of its frontiers, the Commander of the National Strategic Command, General Syed Aamer Raza, declared on Saturday.

Speaking at the passing-out parade at the Pakistan Military Academy in Kakul, Gen Raza said defending the country’s territorial integrity was absolute and unyielding. The ceremony marked the graduation of the 154th PMA Long Course, the 39th Technical Graduate Course, the 73rd Integrated Course and the 28th Lady Cadet Course.

Gen Raza told the graduating cadets that modern warfare had been transformed by fast-moving technology, sweeping aside older doctrines. Pakistan’s armed forces, he said, had responded with a swift transformation across several domains to strengthen the country’s military posture.

He said recent shifts in world politics, set against the conflict in the Middle East, had again underlined Pakistan’s central strategic importance. He pointed to the Islamabad Accord as evidence of Pakistan’s commitment to peace and diplomatic de-escalation, and said the country consistently placed restraint, dialogue and regional stability first.

But that commitment, he warned, should not be mistaken for weakness. There was no room for conflict or war in a nuclearised environment, he said, and any miscalculation would be answered in a way far beyond what the initiator imagined or calculated.

Gen Raza said hostile actors were trying to drive a wedge between the armed forces and the people through disinformation and narrative warfare. Referring to the May 2025 conflict with India, he said the adversary had turned to proxy terrorism and sub-conventional warfare after the failure of Operation Sindoor, and was seeking to exploit internal weaknesses to damage national unity.

Cadets from Bangladesh, Iraq, Maldives, Palestine, Qatar, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan and Yemen also graduated at the ceremony. The Sword of Honour went to Academy Senior Under Officer Muhammad Junaid Jabbar, while the President’s Gold Medal was awarded to Battalion Senior Under Officer Syed Hassan Abbas.
