PTI Leader Chaudhry Abdullah Tahir Killed in Targeted Shooting in Lahore

Okara/Lahore: Prominent businessman, political figure, and social worker Chaudhry Abdullah Tahir was shot dead in an alleged targeted attack in Lahore, according to his family.

The deceased was a well-known personality from Okara and served as a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) provincial leader. Family sources confirmed his death following the attack.

According to preliminary information, Chaudhry Abdullah Tahir had left his residence in Gulberg, Lahore, when unidentified assailants riding a motorcycle allegedly opened fire on his vehicle before fleeing the scene.

The motive behind the attack has not yet been officially confirmed, and law enforcement agencies have launched an investigation to identify the attackers and determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Chaudhry Abdullah Tahir was an active figure in politics and social welfare. He contested the 2018 Punjab Assembly elections on a PTI ticket and later became the party’s National Assembly ticket holder for the 2024 general elections.

News of his death has spread sorrow across Okara and political circles, with supporters, colleagues, and community members expressing grief and offering condolences to the bereaved family.
