The Okara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) held a meeting with local business leaders to discuss ways to strengthen commercial activities and improve the overall business environment in the district.
During the meeting, participants highlighted the challenges facing traders, including rising operational costs, electricity tariffs, inflation, and taxation. Business representatives stressed the need for policies that encourage investment and support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Members also discussed the importance of modernizing local markets, improving road infrastructure, and enhancing security to facilitate business activities. They emphasized that a stronger business environment would create employment opportunities and contribute to the district’s economic growth.
The Chamber assured traders that their concerns would be presented to the relevant government departments for timely action.
